Played pickleball at our new resort yesterday morning at a round robin competition where we each played with different partners against different opponents for six matches.
It’s always intimidating to play with and against new people. There’s so much to figure out…
Do they have a soft game? How accepting are they of new players? How good are they?
And while all that was going through my head, I’m also trying to play my best and play my game.
I gave myself an A- for facing the intimidating situation and a B for my execution.
Next pickleball session, my goal is an A- for execution. I’d rather be happier with my play than happier with my courage…

I am so happy you found a sport that you just totally get lost in. Great exercise too! A- and B excellent! Just so you have fun!
Is that how you feel when you’re working with your dogs, Lorraine?
No! I am so new at it that I don’t know what to be nervous about. If and when I get nervous than I will quit because it wont be fun anymore.
Giggles. That’s a good way to be, Lorraine.
My Mom taught me this : If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullsh–t! Same strategy might be applied to pickle ball??????
Your mom should have been in sales, Sharon. 🙂
Well, Sharon, my mouth might talk brilliance, but my paddle might be full of bullshit! Sometimes it has a mouth of it’s own!
And a mind of its own… 🙁
