I played pickleball in the Idaho Senior Games on Friday and Saturday.
What a blast!
Played tons of pickleball. Met great people. And even won a couple of medals.
Saturday was my busiest day. I played in ten doubles games and nine singles games.
That’s a lot of pickleball. And that’s a lot of steps.
Alas, I lost my FitBit a while ago, so I don’t know how many steps I took.
But there is a way to figure out how many pickleball miles* I had. ๐
Two games of pickleball, well doubles games actually, calculate into one pickleball mile.
Most of my singles matches were close, so there were lots of side outs which means longer play. So even though the rallies don’t last as long in singles games, I’m going to count them each as an actual game.
Therefore I had over NINE pickleball miles yesterday!
Just from this weekend, I’m well on my way to earning myย 100 miles club patch. ๐

WOW!! That is a lot of pickleball miles! Congratulations on the awesome metals! How did you lose your FitBit? Total bummer man!
I lost it on a walk with Sophie within our neighborhood. I kept hoping it would turn up, but it didn’t. Still haven’t decided if I want to get a new one or not…
Leyna got mine and wrecked it. I wasn’t going to get another one, but this has really helped me keeping on track.
Glad it’s helping, Lorraine. I’m still pondering getting another one. If I do, perhaps I should get a red one to make it easier to find. ๐
I have never heard of Pickle Ball miles or the Club. Interesting. I noticed when I met you in Yuma that you are a very good player. Congrats on the medals. Too bad about losing the FitBit.
Thanks, Chris. I really enjoyed playing pickle with y’all in Yuma!
I thought that since I’m playing so much pickle that I may as well keep track of the ‘miles’. I can just see Rich rolling his eyes when I announce that I have to go play again because I don’t have enough miles for the week. ๐
Congrats on the PB! Hope you find the fitbit.
It’s long gone. ๐
Congrats on the PB wins and miles! Pickleball star!
Scared to death here in Bend at the Regionals. Over 300 players, and some fierce competition. Even warm ups were intimidating… :-/
