I Forgot How to Drive!

Boise. Idaho

So I just figured out in the last eleven months, I’ve probably driven less than 30 times.

Yep, less than three times month.

Rich has done all of the motor home driving.

And he’s done all of the Jeep driving when we’re together.

The only time I’ve driven is when I go somewhere by myself. And that’s been about three times month.

I didn’t realize how little I’ve driven until I drove to get some Diet Pepsi our first night back in Boise.

Not only was it strange to be driving, it was amazing to drive to the store without having to use Mapquest to find it. For almost a year I’ve had to use my smart phone to figure out how to get to where I need to go.

How refreshing to know where to find my favorite drink quickly here in Boise!

  1. It makes a huge difference to know where you are going. Did you miss driving? You can see so much more when you are not focused on driving….

    1. I didn’t miss driving, per se, Joanne, but I did miss having my own car where I could keep my own lotion and candy bars in…

  2. Hi. Haven’t left u a message in awhile, but have been following your adventures on your blog. Sounds like you have seen many interesting sites. My favorite spot is Bryce Canyon. We visited several years ago & it still sticks in my mind. Mike & I are headed back east. Arrived in Oklahoma, today, with 40 mph winds in our faces! Not fun in an rv, but Mike handled it well. Staying here 2 days, before heading to Memphis, TN. Still too cold to head back to Mich. Miss you, guys.

  3. Good to hear from you, Debbie! Hope you’re in better weather now. Driving a motor home in the wind is the pits. Hope you’re not inn tornado alley now. Take care…
