El Mirage, Arizona
Yesterday was our last day at Pueblo El Mirage Resort.
And today’s Super Bowl Sunday. For the record, I don’t care who wins. I just hope both teams play well and that it’s a close game.
As Sophie and I took our last long walk around the resort, we passed by dozens of Seahawks fans.
Many of the parks’ residents are from the Pacific northwest.
And they are very proud to be part of the Legion of 12.
Young and old, it seems like the northwest crews around here are all rooting, “Go Hawks!”
Their allegiance runs closely below their patriotism.
I’ve seen oodles of the Seattle Seahawks balloons floating around the park.
But surprisingly I haven’t seen two of the same banners or flags.
I did, however, see a Boise State Football flag that made this Idahoan homesick. 🙂

Hope the move goes smoothly and welcome back to Gold Canyon!
It did go smoothly, Carol. So smoothly that when we got to Gold Canyon, I went play pickleball while Rich finished setting up. I’m a lucky camper to have such a great guy… 🙂
Kathy, your writing brings so much emotion to me and that is what reading is all about. Isn’t it? I loved the whole blog, but when I got to that last sentence it brought goosebumps to me and actual watery eyes. WOW. As I always say, Kathy you are something else! And another thing I always say, I wish I was your third twin!! Love ya Kathy.
How about Carol and I make you honarary third twin? Love you, too, Lorraine!
I am glad the move went so smoothly. The game was close, but a heartbreaker for Seattle. Honestly, what in the Dickens made them decide to pass on that last interception….
You’re not alone wondering that, Joanne. 🙂 It was one of the rare instances where a coaching mistake was clearly the cause of the loss. I hate when it’s one player’s mistake.
I would LOVE to be an honorary third twin. I have loved you guys to first time I met you! Remember our first meeting Kathy? You were reading on your back porch and JP and I were looking at “the house” and I asked you if I could ask you a question? And the rest, as they say, is history!!
I do remember, Lorraine. You know what’s odd? That’s probably only one of a handful of times that I sat on the back porch and read. And I’m glad I did so that we could meet! 🙂
